Get the iPhone shortcut ↓
  1. Open this page in Safari on your iPhone. Download the shortcut, then open the downloaded file in Shortcuts and tap Add Shortcut. If it opens in Files, tap the file there.
  2. In Shortcuts, open Check with Gem Finder, open its Details, and turn on Show in Share Sheet.
  3. On an Instagram Reel, tap Share, then More or Share to… to open the iPhone Share Sheet.
  4. Scroll down to the action list and tap Check with Gem Finder. Allow opening the Gem Finder website if iOS asks.
  5. Gem Finder gets the public Reel’s transcript, finds up to three claims, and automatically checks Gemini markets and any applicable crypto math. Each result starts with a clear conclusion about the claim. Results fill in without another tap. You can edit a claim and recheck it, or stop waiting and paste the words instead.

Instagram shares a link. When enabled, Gem Finder sends that public link to Supadata to request a transcript. Private, unavailable, or unsupported Reels may not work; paste the spoken claim or upload a recording instead. Reel and recording transcripts are checked with Gemini automatically. For pasted words, tap Check with Gemini once.

Already have the old shortcut?

If you installed Check with Pocket Quant, it still works. Rename it to Check with Gem Finder in Shortcuts, or install the updated download above.

Can’t see the shortcut?

In Shortcuts, open Check with Gem Finder, open its details, and enable Show in Share Sheet. If Instagram doesn’t offer the system Share Sheet, copy the Reel link, return to Gem Finder, paste it into the Instagram link field, and choose Analyze Reel.

What gets shared?

The shortcut URL-encodes the shared content and opens our public checker. The app removes Instagram tracking parameters before requesting a transcript. Public Reel links are sent to Supadata when automatic transcription is enabled; uploaded recordings are sent to ElevenLabs when recording transcription is enabled. Gem Finder does not log into Instagram or access private videos. Completed reports and their source links are saved in the current browser tab’s session. You can clear them from Market overview; there is no account or cloud history library. Browsers may restore this session when restoring closed tabs. Gemini Exchange checks use public prediction market data and, for supported crypto targets, public prices and price history. When Claude interpretation is enabled, transcript and claim text are sent to Anthropic to select claims and explain the supplied Gemini results. Claude does not search the web or independently verify historical facts. Checking a Reel does not place a trade.

Keep Gem Finder nearby

In Safari, open the checker, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The Share Sheet shortcut remains the way to send a Reel into the app.
